Our Offerings

From potted culinary herbs, flowering plants and medicinal herb plants to fresh herbs, dried culinary spices, loose-leaf tea blends, eggs, honey, honeycomb and baby chicks, Huckleberry Homestead brings together a wide variety of homestead-grown and handmade offerings in one place.

Customers can also shop for beeswax molds, scented candles, colorful candles, lip balm, seasonal handcrafted soaps, handcrafted tobacco pipes and forged items made at Huckleberry Homestead.

Find us and all the products on our website, including handmade tobacco pipes and items from our forge, at Greene Farmers Market in the off-season and at Albemarle Farmers Market from May through mid-September.

Many products are available year-round, and customers may also call to arrange convenient pickup of products directly from Huckleberry Homestead.

Produce & Fresh Herbs

Huckleberry Homestead sells produce grown on our homestead and harvested in season. Availability may vary throughout the year, but customers can expect fresh, local products picked with care and offered as the seasons allow. Fresh produce may be purchased at the farmers market or by contacting us to arrange pickup. Fresh produce & herbs currently available:

Vegetable Plants

We are excited to be able to prepare for cooler weather. And with cooler weather brings new produce!

Bloomsdale Spinach seeds currently for sale, perfect for starting right now.

We are currently sowing the following seeds and will offer vegetable starts for your garden or planter. All of these varieties are suitable for deck or balcony:

Lacinato Kale (aka “Dinosaur” kale) – blue green crinkled leaves with great flavor

Dwarf Blue Curled Kale – compact kale plants that will yield both fall and early winter harvests

Bibb Blend Lettuce – a blend of Bibb butterhead and Four Seasons lettuce with a beautiful and nutritious array of red and green leaves

Spinach – tender, smooth, dark green leaves for quick and multiple harvests 

Flowers/Ornamentals

We will continue to have African milk trees available, but have no other flowering or ornamental plants available. Check back in early spring 2027 for new offerings!

Potted Herbs

We offer a variety of edible culinary, medicinal, flowering and tea herbs in 3-inch pots. Many of these plants have more than one use, making them a practical and enjoyable addition to your garden, kitchen or home landscape. Each plant is identified as a perennial, annual or biennial so you can easily see its growing habits and expected life cycle. Plants may be purchased by contacting us directly or by stopping by the farmers market.

 Thank you for a wonderful season! We look forward to offering potted herbs again starting in late winter 2027 at the Greene Farmers Market. Stay tuned for our list of offerings! Many herbs will return again, and we will be adding new varieties as well.

We are currently SOLD OUT of all of our honey offerings. Thank you for loving our honey as much as we do! As we are able to harvest and share, we will update honey availability here.

Dried Herbs & Spices

Dried herbs will be offered as they become available during the seasons. These herbs are carefully grown, harvested and dried to provide flavorful and useful options for cooking, teas and other homestead uses. Availability will vary by season and harvest, and customers may purchase dried herbs at the farmers market or by contacting us to arrange pickup. $3 each, 4 for $10.
